Review of The Dead (1987) by Douglas W — 28 Dec 2007
This film could be accused of being dull, but the words are strong and the actors are flawless. I like Freddie's stuttering drunken babble and mannerisms and the goodness in the spinster characters.
Sad and full of warmth and light, this is an ideal film for Christmas-time. Makes me think I might read some James Joyce.
