I did manage to watch this despite the pointless and annoying child. He's a truly terrible actor, Jaden Smith, even if he had bad lines there was no excuse for his awful delivery. The Special effects were bad and Keanu was more wooden than he should be, although you kind of expect it from him.

A lot of inconsistencies and gaping plot holes do make you yell out: "What?". Connelly just looks thin and startled. Kathy Bates's defence secretary makes no sense although she does look earnest, at least.
