Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) by Dean E — 17 May 2009
On top of the messages/morals from the movie which still hold true today, this is also very entertaining much like the original twiilight zones. infact this is like watching a longer episode of it. the story, acting, directing, music/sound, visual effects are all top quality, and creates more suspense then the majority of movies made today with much larger budgets.
Even the robot effects with the ray is still creepy. This is a classic and one of the best scifi/fantasy movies.
