The best Sci-Fi movie to come out of the 50's. While some feel the story is a bit dated I believe it's overall theme of world peace is still valid today. Excellent acting by Michael Rennie and Patricia Neal, superb direction by Robert Wise.
First rate movie! Don't bother with the horrible remake of '08.
