Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) by Josh S — 10 Mar 2009
I have never seen the remake and can't imagine what junk they must have created. This is a great film and you can easily see how influential it became to future sci-fi films. The acting is great from the entire cast (and the kid isn't annoying!) but what I loved is this I find is more a character drama then straight sci-fi and I got involved with Klaatu and his journey to tell Earth to smarten the fuck up.
