Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) by Tj D — 28 Mar 2009

I'm not a fan of older movies, as I prefer new-age special effects and the acting of today rather than of the past, but this movie was an excellent watch. Fairly good acting, good special effects and a plot line which was put together an ran fluently.

Where as the newer version of the film tried to repeatedly hammer its point across to you which lessened the value of the film, where this one has an important line but lets it play out instead of forcing you to see it over and over again.
