Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) by Millo T — 20 Feb 2010
Talking about a B-series movie from the 50s, don't wait for great special effects or superb actings (though Micheael Rennie was not bad). However, the story has a good way to be told (maybe too much predictable, although it keeps the tension), with a clear message that can still be applied nowadays.
There are some interesting aspects about the planet the main character comes from. In any case, it is of course much better than the remake.
