Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) by Huw G — 28 Mar 2011
Excellent sci-fi film that combines suspense and socio-political message quite well. Great directing and editing throughout with creative shots helping to heighten the suspense. Fun acting by Billy Gray as the kid.
The sets (both alien and non) are well-crafted to tell the story and not just for spectacle sake. And of course GORT, the robot.
