Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) by Dustin W — 16 Aug 2011
I liked it much better than the Keanu Reeves version. However, I did notice there were some plot-line gaps, and some terrible acting scenes, which perhaps are generally overlooked because of the deeper message the movie presents.
Furthermore, the representation of Christ's life, death, and resurrection are pretty interesting... even the name which the main star takes on - Mr. Carpenter - corresponds to the life of Christ!
