Review of The Day of the Triffids (1963) by Kay L — 19 May 2011

I had a really bad high school English teacher, who made the class watch this every few months. I hadn't seen it since the late 70s, so it was a hoot to watch it on DVD tonight. I remembered the dog in the bushes and the solution to the Triffid problem.

There was so much fab detail- like in 1962 you could smoke in hospital! I'd forgotten that they travelled to Paris and Spain. Now, I'll have to reread the book....
