As far as disaster films are concerned it is not the worst of them, but it is a long way from being anywhere near the best. Gyllenhaal and Quaid are two actors I do have a tendency to like despite the circumstances and this is no exception, there are some good "disaster porn" moments but aside from that its a fairly tired and slow moving effort.
