Review of The Day After Tomorrow (2004) by Andrew K — 31 Mar 2013
Oh boy, global warming the movie! Liberals rejoice your theories are being proven in a completely realistic and entertaining epic that all will enjoy-of coarse I'm not serious this movie blows! The Day After Tomorrow is a horribly written and overtly moronic movie that tries to be a commentary on global warming and environmentalism but ends up being another bust by schlock-master Roland Emmerich.
Sure the scenes of destruction are entertaining but there's only a handful of them and they are placed inbetween long periods of monotonous dialogue and uninteresting characters that even Jake Gyllenhaal and Dennis Quaid can't save.
But what's most infuriating is the fact that this overblown disaster movie was actually very successful. Is this really the sort of entertainment that the masses want? If so the future really does look bleak for mankind.
