Review of The Day After Tomorrow (2004) by Michael P — 10 May 2013
Ok it is somewhat amusing, you could admire the special effects and I don't mind Dennis Quaid's performance. Besides that this is shockingly scientifically inaccurate. You couldn't get weather like this on Earth.
Maybe you could freeze the Atlantic ocean but that'd require a LOT more of frozen Antarctic; pretty much all of Antarctica. It's just a mess of cliches, full of characters that are relevant to one particular scene and then never hear of again.
Put simply Roland Emmerich is a terrible director and screenwriter that only cares about how famous landmarks can be destroyed.
