Review of The Day After Peace (2009) by Facebook U — 28 May 2012
For a little documentary (until the corporate sponsorship of coca cola kicked in), it is pretty impressive the actual name checks they got involved to bring attention to this particular forgotten day of observance especially in contempoary global politics.
Slightly dated as it was seemingly complete 4 years ago but the course of the project seemed to be a continual work in process, it might be cool to actual revisit the day 4-5 years from said date which would be later this year to see if the movement is still receiving recognition, or whether it was a one time event.
A tad idealistic and given how long it took to gain traction despite the attention it received finally by 2007(8), one wonders how much impact the doc will have. Gives one a chance to ponder through rose colored glasses to a point.
. The interaction with Jude Law is quite interesting in terms of how talent gets involved in these causes and also goes around the world to fight the good fight as it were.
