Review of The Day After (1983) by Gordon S — 30 Nov 2007
Without a doubt, one of the most frightening and horrifying movies I have ever seen. Not only is it terrifying, it is a brilliant piece of film, which breifly chronicles the American way of life right before its utter destruction, and also focuses quite realisticly on the grim aftermath of a nuclear holocaust.
When this aired as a made-for-TV movie in 1983, it terrified audiences worldwide, and may have been one of the factors leading to the end of the cold war. A must have for any DVD collection.
