Review of The Darkest Minds (2018) by Travis H — 02 Aug 2018

I won't give it five stars, only because it was transparent. There wasn't a lot of effort put into hiding who the real bad guy was. I think they made the main character a little too shallow due to her never being able to see that she wasn't the only person that had their lives destroyed by their capabilities.

I'm sure the reason for this was the book plot, but they could have done a much better job on this side of the story. Other than that, I enjoyed the movie. The action was great, the chemistry was awesome, the acting was very well done.

.. (except for the bad guy) and it was worth the trip to the theater. Pretty sure no one involved with the actual movie will read this, but I will say it anyway.... PLEASE give the bad guy more dimensions.

Drunk on power is very over done as a plot device.
