Review of The Darkest Minds (2018) by Sydney H — 05 Aug 2018

I saw this movie yesterday, the way I see it the director and producer did a fantastic job at creating this movie and showing that these kids, who were virtually powerless against adults, are stepping forward and trying to change something that they know is wrong.

Some reviews I have read have stated that the film takes from other films, that the films scenes don't flow together, that the film lacks originality, etc. I believe that these critics are making this film a lot deeper than it is meant to be, as well as having a theme, films and are meant for entertainment.

Of course this film was created and meant to convey a certain message that is very relevant in our modern day society, but what film doesn't get inspiration from other. Lastly, I would like to mention how wonderful the strong female voices are throughout this film, not only having a strong female lead but having a female filmmaker and a female novelist.
