Review of The Darkest Hour (2011) by Jaime A — 28 Apr 2012
The critics hated this one! Well I will be benevolent and say that it was entertaining and I rather enjoyed it. We have two cute guys (Emile Hirsch as Sean and Max Minghella as Ben) who created an app that shows users where the best clubs in the world are at.
So our two tech entrepreneurs travel to Moscow to sell the app to investors. Unfortunately another Russian guy named Skyler (Joel Kinnaman) steals the idea and capitalizes on it. Our American duo is devastated and decide to wash away their sorrows at a Moscow club full of beautiful people but that night the city is invaded by strange sources of energy that can disintegrate them at any moment! How can you defeat an enemy unseen by most that can travel quickly, devour energy and disintegrate you immediately? Fun movie to watch and yes recommended so don't pay attention to the harsh critics.
