Oh dear. What a crap film. The Darkest Hour is just rubbish, the cast is dreadful, none of them can act, especially Emile Hirsch who should just give up now. All of the characters are unlikeable, especially Emile's because his character sounds as if it's just been dubbed over but that's probably just his annoying voice.
The story is boring, predictable and unengaging. The concept of 'invisible energy creatures' is just dreadful and poorly executed with cheaply made effects that make this movie seem like an amatuer film.
The premise is also incredabley boring, the action in this film is just dreadful, practically nothing happens. The Darkest Hour is just paced incredabley wrong, they set themselves a goal to get somewhere and 2 minutes later (film time) they're there with no effort whatsoever.
The characters always 'happen' to run into convenient things/people that just removes any form of tension or suspense completely. This film is just crap and has literally nothing good about it at all.
Avoid this movie!
