The characters are bland. They are losing friends and family yet still smile. You feel no connection to any of them. It had an overall cheesy feel to it. Some of the scenes looked pretty cool and the disintegration is neat.
The aliens are stupid-looking when they are finally revealed toward the end. And finally nothing is believable.
