One of the best opening lines of the late 20th Century belongs to The Gunslinger - the first book in the Dark Tower series by Stephen King.
"The Man in Black fled across the desert. And the Gunslinger followed.".
This movie opens in New York. It banishes the opening line to a voice over in a dream sequence a good 20 minutes into the film.
Don't bother.
