Review of The Dark Tower (2017) by Duncan P — 28 Sep 2017

Admittedly I'm not very familiar with the books (just some minor details about them), but this was nowhere near as bad as reviews would have one believe, it's actually quite a lot of fun as a popcorn speculative fiction genre mash-up film.

Though, clearly, it does hint at a *lot* more complexity and depth in the story than is ultimately presented here, which is rather a pity to miss out on (it feels like it'd make one hell of an HBO series to replace Game of Thrones, but that's unlikely so I might just read them eventually), but still, recommended.
