Critics have no heart. This movie was a fun romp with touching moments. It's an easy sci-fi to get into. It's not bogged down by the peculiarities and foibles of its other worldly elements. Sure, it raises more questions than it answer.
But you get the gist of it pretty quick and it has a satisfying end. I would love to see more films like this. A family-friendly sci-fi that isn't blatantly YA. I would be so stoked for a sequel!
