Review of The Dark Tower (2017) by Falling R — 07 Aug 2017

Even though people might focus on the actors, I may have not recognized them at all. The quality of the movie without knowing what would happen was exceptional. There were thrilling moments where scenes would keep me on the edge of my seat, and emotional moments that would move my heart in many ways.

For example, when the monster's tentacle impaled Roland in the tree, Jake couldn't do anything but run, and dodge until his time was almost up. The part I liked most about the movie, was how powerful Jake could really be.

He used his "shine" to recite the Gunslingers's pledge inside Roland's mind, driving him to move forward to make the last move to defeat a Gunslinger's worst enemy and nightmare.

Even though the actors could've been a little out of place... Since I didn't recognize them, they had the look I was looking for. Roland with the determined eyes, but the old and tired look. Walter with the crooked look of Satan, desire for pure evil.

Jake with the desire to prove that his visions are true and not just dreams, even though no one believes him.
