Review of The Dark Tower (2017) by Robin N — 05 Aug 2017

Dark Tower was marketed in a very different way than what it actually is. I believed it to be dramatic and exciting, but it was actually quite silly, something for the younger generation. I did enjoy Idris Elba very much. I am also a huge fan of Matthew Mcconaughey, I adore everything about him, so I choice to believe he purposely played a campy villian with a bad tan...he was funny.

Overall, the movie was slightly ridiculous without much of a real story line. I never truly connected to any of the characters and the last half hour may have been the best, and it still had awkward moments. I did not truly enjoy the movie but it wasn't horrible, it has a few good moments.

Unfortunately it just doesn't make my summer movie cut.
