Review of The Dark Tower (2017) by Jeanne T — 02 Aug 2017

Well... if you're like me, you have read the books and/or listened to the well-read books-on-tape narrated by Frank Muller, which really delve into (King's) extensive details of this wonderful story of The Gunslinger.

To that end, in my opinion, this movie was made a little in haste. It did not allow for the depth of character of characters with such depth.

So for me to give a low rating based on those wonderfully descriptive novels would not be fair, so I will rate this movie solely on the new experience. It's a good story and the cast is good. I feel that with a bit more time The actors would've hit their 'groove' and would have been solid, really solid. The special effects were not disappointing.

Overall I'm glad I saw this flick.
