If you have read the books, forget about all of it. This is a different story, but it is also very interesting and compelling. Idris Elba is the perfect embodiment of Roland; motivated, vengeful, ruthless, and thoroughly out of place as he enters NYC.
Matthew McConaughey's Man in Black is a semi-new take on the character, but he is still mysterious and gets off on the needless suffering of others. Don't expect anything going into this movie and you will definitely enjoy yoursefz.
