Review of The Dark Red (2020) by Noel Murray for Los Angeles Times — 05 Mar 2020
Both parts of The Dark Red are hit-and-miss. The film’s premise is engaging, regardless of whether Bush and Byrne are using it as a foundation for a moody chamber piece or for a Kill Bill-esque thriller.
But the movie suffers from its low budget, which makes its overall scope too limited to suit Sybil’s sprawling story.
