Although it doesn't quite equal the level of gravitas of its predecessor, The Dark Knight Rises is still an action-packed, smartly written, and entertaining superhero movie where the flaws are overshadowed by the knockout set pieces and eye-popping spectacles, and it concludes Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy in memorable fashion.
