Draws the majority of its appeal from the fact that one of the main cast member died before its opening.
People who didnt even know who batman was (and weren't in a position to judge this film) flocked to the movie theatres, not for the purpose of the film. this film sits about average, with its long drawn out dialogue, reasonable performances, and action scenes that seem way to far part. not a bad film, but I believe the nolan batman series is way overhyped, and tended to suck all the fun out of the batman franchise.
