Is this year's most eagerly anticipated comic book film also the best film of the year so far ? Oh almost. Every aspect of this dark, haunting film was executed brilliantly - the direction, the writing, the acting.
Believe the hype, Heath Ledger's sublime portrayal of the fiendishly evil Joker is more than Oscar worthy. The film delves deeper to explore the human emotions and the dark fears of the protagonist, and the result is a one of the darkest and most haunted superhero films you will seen in a long while.
