Review of The Dark Knight (2008) by Jacob C — 13 Aug 2015
100/100 - This is not just the best superhero film of all time, but one of the best period. However, it doesn't focus as much on Batman as Batman Begins or The Dark Knight Rises do: the center of the film is Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker.
It is one of the most demonic yet oddly satisfying performances of all time. His role gave him a well-deserved Oscar. However, the extremely dark tone could be too much for most viewers, but if you can make it through, the experience is highly rewarding.
Nothing is done badly in The Dark Knight, giving it an ever so slight edge above its sequel and predecessor.
