Review of The Dark Knight (2008) by Ben T — 29 Mar 2016
This is the true definition of a masterpiece. It's so much more than an above average superhero film and is an incredible cinematic achievement with so many great elements to it. If I were to explain everything that makes this film so great than I would never be able to finish this review.
I will say a lot about how awesome it is, though, including the more than genius script and story, the awesome action, epic scope, amazing cinematography, and the near flawless cast, including the pitch-perfect Heath Ledger performance as The Joker.
His performance is easily one of my top five favorite movies villain portrayals and his Joker is so twisted and haunting that he was pretty unsettling at times. This movie has everything a great movie can have and it made Christopher Nolan one of my favorite directors.
This may be my favorite superhero film and may be one of the most unforgettable and best films of all time. If I'm saying that the this is definitely a must-see for anyone because this movie appeals to so many people.
