Review of The Dark Knight (2008) by Mark C — 02 Jul 2017
One of the greatest superhero movies of all time. Great story that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time mainly due to the presence of the Joker and the havoc that he causes, particularly when it comes to him trying to break Batman by getting him to cross that "one rule." That is essentially the main conflict throughout the whole movie. Of course there are other things going on such as Harvey Dent and his "white knight" image and how the Joker tries to exploit that as well. There are many things going on in this movie and while it may seem like a bit much at times, the writers do a good job with connecting them all together.
Let me just say that the acting in this movie is fantastic. This is truly an all star cast spearheaded by Heath Ledger as the Joker, who gives a phenomenal performance that still gives me chills to this day.
Overall this movie is nearly flawless and is pretty much the gold standard of superhero movies that will be remembered for a very long time.
