Review of The Dark Half (1993) by Cody P — 06 Mar 2010
A great adaptation from a great book. About a writer who has published some not very successful material under his own name, but who is a star under his other name, his darker half which allowed him to be violent and relentless without public scrutiny - much like Stephen King's own life.
Soon, he must kill off his darker half after someone finds out the truth, and his dark half is not happy about it. He comes back to life in order to force him to continue writing under his name, and along the way ends up kidnapping his family and murdering victims along the way.
Not so much a scary horror as a suspenseful, smart thriller that will keep you guessing until the end.
