The Dark Crystal is a visually fantastic film, and the storyline is very exciting. It's a classic choosen-one with a prophecy story that does excite and has good villains with the Skesis. The characters aren't bad, but they don't have the standout personalities Jim Henson is most known for.
It's a very good movie, but fans of The Muppet Movie that are expecting a more funny fantasy film more like Labyrinth could be disappointed.
