The most amazing thing about THE DARK CRYSTAL is that it's one of the few movies ever made that retains a tremendously high value of sublime visuals and ingenuity significance within the genre of fantasy films.
Very few senescent productions can pit themselves against modernized special-effects and new age storytelling; however, if you get your hands on a refurbished copy of DARK CRYSTAL, the overwhelming wave of nostalgia will be accompanied by astonishing high definition costume design, vibrant stage-sets, and majestic puppeteering; showcasing a level of detail that was unachievable thirty-seven years ago.
In addition, adulthood makes the atypical undertones of a dour Muppet much more intriguing.
