Review of The Darjeeling Limited (2007) by Jens T — 13 Feb 2011
I would like to first say a few words about the short film Hotel Chevalier. It really sucked, and most of all was it extra unpleasant to see Natalie Portman's anorectic body. She is nothing but bones. But back to the The Darjeeling Limited, It's a comfortable and relaxing film which carries itself away by it's own, just like Wes Anderson's other movies.
This is another of Anderson's movies about family issues and trouble. This time is about three very different brothers, the Whitmans. One day the oldest brother Francis (Owen Wilson) decide one day that all of the three brothers (Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman) is gonna ride on the Darjeeling Limited, a train through India, to visiting many devine places and get a spiritual revelation so the three of them can conect once more.
Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited is a wonderfull picture with wonderfull characters who all have an interresting story to tell. It even make the film more curious seeing Owen Wilson with bandages all over his face, durring the most of the movie. The movie itself is a spiritual journey.
