Review of The Darjeeling Limited (2007) by Patrick F — 09 Apr 2013

This film is surely my least favorite of Wes Anderson's films. It has the same corkey, dry, satirical humor of all of his other films. But The Darjeeling Limited really just failed to entertain me.

I found it hard believing these men as brothers and I found myself pretty much bored with the story. I would like to have seen more back story for each character. Definitely more back story than what was given, briefly, by a description from said character and a brief flashback.

I did enjoy the choice of music, though fitting, not the traditional Indian music. I didn't understand a lot of the underlying themes. They were all lost on me. Overall, not that great of a movie in my opinion.
