Review of The Darjeeling Limited (2007) by Sam G — 26 Apr 2010
Not Wes Anderson's best. Despite the exotic location and the talented cast, the characters never quite feel right. Some of the dialogue even seems a little forced as if the actor's themselves didn't really understand Anderson's intentions.
I have read that this was similar with Cate Blanchett in The Life Aquatic although, in that case, the confusion worked. Here - not so much. Nonetheless, this film still has many enjoyable moments and is certainly original.
