Review of The Darjeeling Limited (2007) by Tyler M — 31 Mar 2012
Fans of Wes Anderson will more than likely enjoy the film. Those that aren't fans, will more than likely miss the point completely.
3 brothers on a spiritual journey to seek themselves and their mother find themselves wandering through an odd series of adventures throughout the Darjeeling/Bengal/India landscape.
The story is pretty simple and the characters fairly complex and the humor is quirky to a fault, and that's why we watch.
Though it's not really anyones best work, Adrien Brody has done better roles, Owen Wilson has been funnier, Jason Schwartzman has been quirkier, and Wes Anderson has made much grander adventures, it's still worth watching if you're a fan Anderson.
On that note, don't think that just because you like Brody, Wilson, or Schwartzman that you'll automatically like this film.
