The Darjeeling Limited is a wonderfully complex film about a much simpler story. Three brothers embark on a spiritual journey through India to find some sort of balance in their lives that fills the void of their deceased father.
Throughout their journey, each character's problems and stubborn personality comes to life as they struggle to find harmony in their relationship. Wes Anderson's writing is ever apparent through the three brothers' dialogue, which contains ongoing habits and repetitive quirks.
The film is also aesthetically beautiful, set on a luxury locomotive that travels through the not so ugly parts of India.
