Review of The Darjeeling Limited (2007) by Sharon B — 24 Jun 2014
Jack (Jason Schwartzman): What did he say?
Peter (Adrien Brody): He said the train is lost.
Jack (Jason Schwartzman): How can a train be lost? It's on rails.
I love quirky flicks like this. I had no idea what to expect from this film but it starred Adrien Brody so I know I will like at the very least one thing about this film. The story turns out to be more spiritual than I had expected since I figured this was going to be some silly goof-ball comedy; but in fact, it was actually deeper with a lot of good symbolisms. Visually, this film was nothing short of stunning; all the locations were amazingly exotic, even the very train itself. The principal cast were all great, even Owen Wilson whom I normally find annoying. The cameos were epic-- totally funny. overall the story was surprisingly profound and came to a uniquely satisfying conclusion; it was really interesting, I truly enjoyed watching this film.
