Review of The Darjeeling Limited (2007) by Matt F — 11 May 2010
I watch this movie every couple months. No joke. I don't think any filmmaker out there understands family like Wes Anderson. Families fight, they hate each other and then make up. Family is awkward, weird and full of idiosyncrasies.
They can't stand each other and they can't stand to be without each other. This movie asks the question "If we weren't family, do you think we could be friends?" And it doesn't matter what the answer is because you're family and nothing changes that.
