Review of The Darjeeling Limited (2007) by Psychoman — 28 Feb 2008
I would respectfully submit that a lot of the bad reviews stem from the simple fact that people did not "get" the film in the sense that they made no effort to understand it. To me, Darjeeling Limited is a fantastically funny, absurd and skewed portrayal of people's inability to empathize and forgive.
.. and their innate capability of transcending their petty selves to achieve greater understanding of themselves and others. At first look a comedy, and then, like all great comedies, it becomes a humane work of art.
