This film was like a page from a history book, first this then that and then the other happened. It lacked drama. In 'Room', the William H. Macy cameo spoke volumes. There were very few moments that raised this film above a report of Wegnar's transgendering.
Alicia Vikander was excellent in the few scenes where she had something to work with, as was Eddie Redmayne. A tragic story told with little drama.
