Review of The Danish Girl (2015) by Ciaran R — 02 Mar 2016
While there is undoubtedly no denying the excellent performances from Both Redmayne and Vikander, I did find this to be a difficult watch at times. Eddie Reymane certainly likes to challange himself with all his roles and while I mostly enjoyed the movie, it was the perhaps the bleak inevitability of the final act which soured it a bit for me.
Perhaps though, I was simply just in too good of a mood before the film to fully immerse myself in this tragic tale. With that said, I give it a respectable 3 out of 5, mostly for Vikanders Oscar winning performance.
