At times I felt uncomfortable watching not because of the difficult subject matter, but rather Eddie Redmayne is so convincing as Lili Elbe its often less like watching a movie and more like sneaking a look into the personal struggles of a couple in torment.

A master class in acting from both Redmayne and Alicia Vikander.
