Overall, TDG is a very intense movie. Although before I watched it I already kinda know the story that, well, it's about the first transgender in the world; it's about two pioneer artists, the husband and the wife; and it's about the inner struggle and decision to be a man or a woman, however, only when I was sitting there watching the movie, did I really realize how dramatic, how intense and how touching this is. It's definitely a powerful movie.

The two actors are absolutely amazing. Eddie continued his high-level delivery of acting after he played in The Theory of Everything. I didn't see TTOE, however, I have a feeling that his acting in TDG might be a bit repetitive to TTOE, since both are the very unusual characters and both of them require a lot of 'right amount of shaking' of the muscles - especially facial muscles. As far as Alicia, she gave us a fabulous performance. You know the transgender character is Eddie, so he must be the one who has the biggest space to perform his acting skills. However, after watching the movie, you will realize that Alicia actually has more space to act and to show her skills then Eddie, and in a way she overshines Eddie. The reason why is because she is actually the one who drove the husband to become a woman. She experienced no less than, if not more than, the husband. At the beginning, she just played a game to pursuade her husband to put on the women's outfit, but then she found this little 'game' made her lose her husband entirely. But at the same time, she loves her husband so much, that she prefers to lose her husband and let him be the one he wants to be, rather than stopping him and keeping him unhappy.

The camera did a great job. The outfits are gorgeous. The story flows well - just a little bit course towards the end, to me.

Absolutely a strong contestant for Oscars, but for sure not another The Theory of Everything.
