It's a tough world for teen boys in the 70s, but they escape into crappy cartoon adventures in this film. Interesting moments of male teen observation, ultimatley forced into movie cliché and sad plot devices.
Could have been more, but lost in standard cinematic sentimentality. Jodie Foster produced - Yuck.
